Do you remember traveling with your parents? I mean when you were a child. The trip was planned the sandwiches were made the station wagon was packed and you were off. As a child we really don’t understand the planning involved whether it’s a trip to the park or to St. Louis from California. We the children just know we need to be in our seats when it’s time to go so the parents do get upset. Now flip it; the child is planning the trip. I’m the child planning the trip and bringing my parents along. Yes there is a lot of planning, but there is a joy in the planning. Asking my parents if they want to go to Graceland and New Orleans. Making changes and adding a week so we can go to Disney World. And just as I went along for the ride when I was in the backseat of the station wagon, they now are happy to go along for the ride. So we were off from Nashville back to Memphis and Graceland. My parents love Elvis and I grew up watching his movies with them. Therefore I love Elvis. Graceland is a wonderful place. There is history and there is life at Graceland. Elvis is still alive at Graceland. His story is more than some movies, Las Vegas and an untimely death. There is so much more and Graceland holds the key to the door to the true Elvis. If you haven’t been, you have to go to Graceland. See you in New Orleans!
