My journey begins… In the fast paced world we live in today, it’s easy to look past things we believe to be small or insignificant.  It started with air travel.  When flying became more affordable to the masses, we got out of our station wagons and into airplanes.  When we fly, we miss all the places in between.  I was fortunate as a child of the 60’s to have parents who loved to pack up the 3 boys and drive.  I was also fortunate to have relatives not only in California but also in the Midwest.  I remember the short drives and the drives to St. Louis and Canton Ohio and everything in between.  Those childhood memories are what drove me to put together a road trip for me and my 12 year old son Joshua along with my friends Chris and Amy and their two young sons Ethan and Ryan in 2008.  We drove the southwest for 10 days in an RV and we all still talk about that adventure to this day.  I wanted my son to have some of the great memories, experiences and feelings I had when I was his age.  These memories are what drive me today to set off on this new adventure.  I have to be in Nashville by Friday the 13th.  Then I made my parents change their plans so I could take them on a small road trip.  I will be taking them to Graceland, New Orleans and Disney World.  I will see them off from Orlando and then I’m in the wind; no schedule, no place to be, no time limits.  Stay with me, I promise it will be a journey, an adventure, history and fun.
